About

Prógono

We produce accessories for wrapping objects.

Our aim is to make simple products for complex functions that reflect contemporary needs in their proportions.

The products are developed not just for one specific electronic device, but they also adapt to the usual needs or the ones to come in the future, which means they last longer and are more sustainable.

We give preference to quality materials, good finishes and a fair production process in which we believe that the human touch and direct contact are essential.

We do not believe in cold minimalism, but in a balance between functionality and the sensations our senses give us.

Prógono means pioneer in old Portuguese.
We pay homage to contemporary pioneers who discover new worlds.
Travel accessories fully designed and manufactured in Barcelona.
The architecture of Oswaldo Arthur Bratke, Lina Bo Bardi, Tadao Ando and John Lautner, Brutalism and "2001: A Space Odyssey".

This is about enthusiasm or rather, enthusiastic people.
People who have acquired their expertise with pleasure.

Both families of designers have a part of its story dedicated to creativity and handcrafted.

On the one hand Diego's great-grandfather, who emigrated in the 50s from Spain to Brazil, country where and has perpetuated the tradition of baskets and bags of straw that he had learned with his ancestors; On the other hand Anna's mother who has left his small town to move to Barcelona to work in haute couture fur coats atelier in the 70s. Both could have been met and shared its experiences but them never could imagine that his great-grandson and daughter would work together sharing what they had learned with them. They have worked together since 2009 in fashion, architecture and urban projects between São Paulo and Barcelona. In 2011 they moved permanently to Barcelona and began to create Prógono, acquiring skills in the leather industry. From the beginning of their partnership, excellence and challenge are constant search in every project they do. For them seems super important to keep the traditions, know how they work, so as to translate this to present.

PRÓGONO products are made in high-quality leather. All PRÓGONO leathers come from animals reared for meat production.

As a natural product, leather will often display traces of its past such as marks, scars, growth lines or veins. Leather will have markings that are considered special signatures, and this is what relates to the user that the product is genuine leather.

The skins of South Spain cattle supply leather, distinguished by its silky feel and it's beautiful folds. Tanned also in Spain, this open pore leather has a completely natural finish. The results are natural markings on the surface a fine grain that generate impeccable surfaces.
